Greetings -

The 2006 season is shaping up nicely for the RS 'Cross Team, having just
completed races #3 and #4 during the weekend event held at the Catamount
Family Center in Williston, Vermont. The second day's race was the main
attraction, it being designated with a UCI-C2 status. For the complete write
upon the UCI race, here is a link to the story on-line:

I am happy to report that on Saturday, Brian Hayes rode to a strong 14th
place in the Elite Men's event, and on each day in the Elite Women's events,
Amy Wallace got wins number 3 and 4 for herself and the team. Winning
the UCI race puts Amy in good stead as the UCI points garnered from this
victory will reinforce her status as one of the top riders in the country. I will
post to you when the UCI rankings come out. Meanwhile, Amy has won all
4 events this season, making us all proud to be a part of such a successful
campaign. Bravo-issimo!

There are various action pics of the team on Paul Weiss' seminal site.
Surf through to these links and look for the well appointed, black-clad racers:

This coming weekend will be our first real road trip as we head to the east end
of Long Island for
Whitmore's Landscaping Super Cross Cup Weekend.
With both days of racing having UCI points status it will be a true test of the
team's fitness and focus, as well as the bicycles and components that are
used. For our part, the weekend marks the return to racing of RS 'Cross Team
stalwart,
Justin Spinelli, and first-year teammate, Jon Hamblen. Both Justin
and Jon are full time road pros and are also teammates on the Nerac/OLP
squad all spring and summer. With as many miles as they log, a late(r) start
to the 'cross season is fully understandable. Jon's wife,
Alicia, will also be
present - she, a 4-time National Cyclocross Champion!

We look forward to having all of the team together for the first time this season
and I anticipate good news and good results will follow.

Thanks for reading!
