Greetings -
The Richard Sachs Cyclocross Team enters its final week of the
season as the
U.S. Cyclocross National Championships begin in
3 days in Providence,Rhode Island.

This past weekend we were also in the Ocean State. On Saturday,
the team raced in South Kingstown at the W.E. Stedman Grand Prix .
On Sunday we were in Warwick at the NECCS Caster's Grand Prix.
Both events had UCI C2 status. On day one,
Justin Spinelli was our
bright light with his 7th place in theElite Men's category. On Sunday,
Justin was 11th and
Brian Hayes and NoahTaylor were 22nd and 27th
respectively. In the Women's Elite race,
Amy Wallace was 8th. The
online coverage of these races can be found on cyclingnews-dot-com

Seeing that it's the Holiday Season, here's a tip that just came on my
radar: The fine folks at
VergeSport are having a sale, and there is a
great supply of vintage RS Team jerseys. Please click
here to see the
large savings available on some cool red threads! All the cats at VergeSport
have kept us looking great for nearly 10 years. Please use their link for filling
those last minute gift needs!

I have some great news to report in the form of team support for 2007.
Yes, that's right,2006 is hardly over, yet there is a firm commitment from
Ozell Stankus Associates to join us as a commercial sponsor. I am pals with
Roman Stankus, one of the principles, and he has wanted to support the
RS 'Cross Team for a good long while, and will begin this coming season.
When time permits, Mr. Stankus will send over some text about his firm's
architectural practice. PS he has great initials atmo*.

On a personal note, I regret to post that I will likely miss the trip to the
Natz this coming weekend. My wife, aka
the lovely Deb, had a bike versus
dog encounter this past Sunday. The collision resulted in Deb breaking
2 ribs, a clavicle, and her shoulder. After many x-rays and 2 rounds of cat
scans, it was determined that surgery is needed, and for that we will be
visiting the trauma specialist on Thursday. Deb was in full team kit riding
on one of my team 'cross bicycles. What can I say'ceptin she took one for
the team! Deb is in good spirits, all things considered. I have begun to send
direction, lists, etcetera, to all on the team so that the bases are covered at
the race venue. But I encourage all readers of these emails to say hello to
the racers in the distinctive black team kit, and mebbe see if anyone needs
an extra pair of hands, a coffee, a Bronx cheer - anything!

Lastly - wish us luck for a successful National Championships!!

Thanks for reading!
