Greetings -

The Richard Sachs 'Cross Team had a great weekend, road tripping down
to the Mid-Atlantic states for back to back UCI C2 races. On Saturday, we
were in Pennsylvania for the
Lower Allen Classic and on Sunday we made
it to Jamesburg, New Jersey for the
HPCX.

As far as Saturday's race results go, in the Men's Elite event,
Justin Spinelli
was 12th and
Noah Taylor was 20th. Brian Hayes was 2nd in the U23
category. Amy Wallace was 16th in the Women's Elite race. The next day,
on the first day of the year in which conditions finally assimilated real 'cross
weather atmo*, Justin was 9th and Brian was 14th in the Elite category (Brian
also gets a 2nd in the U23 race held concurrently), and Amy raced superbly
and netted a 4th place. To our south, the Hamblens undid the seven hour drive
from Saturday, and each raced very well in North Carolina on Sunday.
Jon
won his fifth race in a row and
Alicia was 2nd on the day, each result coming
in the Elite category. Their exploits made it online and can be read about
at
VeloNews Dot Com.

Saturday was also a special day for all of us because the team finally had a
chance to meet in person Mr. Roland Murphy, he of the eponymous firm
RGM Watches, and of course, the title sponsor of the Richard Sachs 'Cross
Team
these past two years. It was a joy to put face to name and to spend the
better part of the afternooon talking shop and cyclocross. Roland (and his son,
Roland) were at their first ever 'cross race and I hope they thoroughly enjoyed
the day. Here is a link to a gallery of images that Roland captured on Saturday:

And, as far as pics go, this past weekend yielded a bumper crop. Some made
it onto the international websites, while others appear only in online galleries.

Pretty cool, huh!?

This coming weekend, the troops will be split on both sides of the
Mason-Dixon line, with the significant races being in North Carolina.
There are two UCI C2 events in the town of Hendersonville, and the
Hamblens will host team mates Amy and Brian for the weekend.
Here are links to the races:

Please make note that day two's race is sponsored by RS Team supplier,
Cane Creek Cycling Components of nearby Fletcher, N.C. I can't say
enough great things about the Cane Creek wheels, cantilever brakes,
headsets, and interupter levers. We have used them for these past four
seasons and are at a real advantage with these superb bicycle components.

Regarding the above images and links, please remember to contact
me if you seek usage for print and online marketing use. I will link
you with the original picshooter so that proper attribution can be given.
