Greetings -

Everything is beginning to fall in place for the Richard Sachs Cyclocross Team's
2007 season. We have received the all-important product from many of our fine
official sponsors; wheels, cantis and headsets from Cane Creek, stems, h'bars
and seatposts from Oval Concepts, saddles from Selle San Marco, pedals from
Crank Brothers, and eye wear and helmets from Rudy Project. Within the next
several weeks all of our tires will arrive from Challenge Tech, and the 2007 line
of racing apparel will be here courtesy of VergeSport.

Some of the team met here three weeks ago and had a wonderful afternoon of
eating, bonding, reminiscing, and making plans for the season ahead. I have had
the pleasure to be among many different groups as both a rider and now a sponsor
of this team, and I sense that the mix assembled now is the tightest and most family
oriented team ever. I look forward to four months of intense racing, lots of great road
trips, and results each and every weekend. In the weeks to come I will include self-written
rider bios (autobios?) in these mailings so that all of you can (re)familiarize yourselves
with the folks that make up the roster.

I also want to take a moment for a shout-out to two of my peers in the trade who also
both are heavily into, and support, the 'cross scene. Mike Zanconato and Sacha White
both are top tier framebuilders in their own right and each is heavily invested in 'cross
culture. Mike's site is here, and he also keeps a decent blog. Sacha's site can be found
here, and surfing through it will allow you to discover his involvement in the sport. Note
that he has a sign-up on the front page for an email journal. I received issue one just this
past week and I encourage all of you to get on board and follow this fellow's work. Both
of these guys are pals, highly respected framebuilders, and are dedicated to cyclocross.
